Why Dhwani
The underlying passion of harnessing the power of technology for social change led to the birth of Dhwani RIS in 2012. The idea took shape during one of the internships undertaken by Dhwani’s Founders Sunandan Madan and Swapnil Agarwal at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA).
Vision
To reduce technological barriers for non-profits and social organisations by empowering and capacitating them with tailor-made technologies.
Mission
To provide integrated and smart ICT tools to impact initiators in streamlining work process on and off the ground.
Our approach is participative. We spend considerable time with social sector organisations to understand their tech-centered bottlenecks and devise solutions as per their needs. Our work isn’t confined to the desk alone. We undertake sectoral research, do process mapping to understand their program design, technological readiness and feasible options for ICT integration.

Our stories of change
We generate impact by strengthening the internal capabilities of social organisations through ICT. We help them deliver more effectively in less time, with limited resources. Through technology inclusion, we have been able to augment impact for more than 2.5 million end-users working in the development sector.
30k+ Internet Saathis have trained around 2 lakh community members across 20+ states for using a smartphone using our tech platform.
Monitoring & Evaluation of 400+ Anganwadis, adopted by Vedanta Foundation in association with WCD ministry.
Tech Mahindra Foundation is using our platform to manage their 100+ skill development centres across India. Nearly 150,000+ students are trained every year.
Dream Africa schools, a low -cost school chain by GEMS Education group in Africa is using our platform to monitor assessments & streamline school management processes.
Our platform is being used by CSR division of Tata Steel to monitor their flagship project - RISHTA, they work with more than 125,000+ adolesecent kids for improving their health.
